With all the talk of financial and auto bailouts, I read a lot of comments along the line of "we have to help homeowners stay in their homes!" Foreclosures are a messy and painful ordeal (or so I hear). The idea is that you shouldn't borrow money you can't pay back. (Unfortunately, our government sets a terrible example for us.)
Our little baby is growing up so fast! I think he has decided that he doesn't want to be a "normal" crawler. I mean, he can do it. Mommy will be playing with him and he will crawl normal in that short time. And then *thunk*, back onto the stomach for the army crawl.
He sure does like to bounce too. The "jumparoo" that we got him makes it so that if he wants to bounce, he has to bounce himself. And bounce he does, all the time it seems, while being held or on his own.
It seems that no matter how early you go to bed or how much sleep you get, when you wake up at 3:30 am, you're still going to be tired.
During Priesthood meeting last week, we discussed the 13th Article of Faith, and the admonition of Paul. It was amazing to me that all the virtues Paul enumerates are embodied in my beautiful wife. She truly is amazing. Besides her obvious physical beauty, she is extremely kind, caring and patient with all she meets. She is so smart, yet always willing to learn. She is amazingly talented, and yet so humble. I truly love her and consider myself blessed to have her as my wife and the mother of my children.
Today was supposed to be my big day as a pilot. It was supposed to be the first time that I flew without an instructor in the plane. _Supposed_ to. But of course, the DCA (Department of Civil Aviation) here in Cyprus hasn't issued my license yet (it's been in for about 5 weeks now, and they said they would do it on Monday), so alas, I could not solo. Oh well, next week.
So as I was driving to work, I see this "water" on the road up ahead. Now, it's not uncommon at all to see water all over the road here in Cyprus, as for some reason people like to water their streets. Not even joking. Serious drought? Check. People still watering the street? Check.
Last week I got to see some BYU football thanks to a SlingBox, a brother who gets all the BYU games, and an internet connection. Even though I understand, probably better than most, how computers and networks and all that works, it still amazes me that I can cheer on the cougars at 2 am here in Cyprus.
Wow. Cheri decided to leave me behind in the posting area. That's good though, she's much more interesting to read than I am.
It seems that all we do anymore is tell people how Jonathan is doing. Hopefully that will change soon as I do want to add the "Hobbies" section that I mentioned a while back. It's just that I'm too busy actually doing the hobbies!
"He's so cute!"
Of course, she's talking about Jonathan (not me, as many of you probably thought). But I hear the phrase at least twice a day. Mommy sure loves her baby!
