Brushing Teeth

Our little boy is getting so big! He's crawling all over and walking with assistance. He plays peek-a-boo (actually putting his head down and popping back up) and just recently he's started a new game. He'll give you something he's playing with then you give it back to him. He takes it and then he'll give it back to you and it goes back and forth until he takes it and discards it for something else.

Volunteering and Not Volunteering

David has just informed me that too much time has passed since I last blogged. So here is my update:

On Tuesday, I went to my first rehearsal with the kids at St. John's School at the Episkopi garrison. I am volunteering there taking over the dancing in their musical 'Annie.' It's fun! I've got another routine and a half ready for them to learn next week and I have a lot of questions for the teachers before I can do any more.

Christmas is Over

Christmas is over. Hurray! Things are finally slowing down again. There seemed to be so much going on around Christmas. I was practicing for the Christmas presentation for church on the 21st. I'd meet with Sister Larsen so we could practice her musical number together. Kanthi, one of my piano students, was working on her little piano pieces for the Christmas talent show on Boxing Day and I was helping her. I decorated the Christmas tree at the church.

I Love My Husband SoooooOOOoooo Much!!!

At this very moment I am eating my favorite food on earth: Breyers vanilla ice cream. David ordered it especially for me. What a man! I LoVE mY huBBY! He is SOOoo WonDERFUL!

mmm....ice cream....

Standing tall

Our little baby is growing up so fast! I think he has decided that he doesn't want to be a "normal" crawler. I mean, he can do it. Mommy will be playing with him and he will crawl normal in that short time. And then *thunk*, back onto the stomach for the army crawl.

He sure does like to bounce too. The "jumparoo" that we got him makes it so that if he wants to bounce, he has to bounce himself. And bounce he does, all the time it seems, while being held or on his own.

We are going to have friends for Christmas!

Last week we got a call from David's friend, Robert. He and his wife, Hailey, are going to be here in December. We'll have friends for Christmas! Hurray!

David the Great

The last couple of days Jonathan and I have been a little under the weather. David has been so sweet taking Jonathan and letting me sleep, cuddling us and showing us lots of love despite the fact that I feel ucky and am completely unattractive right now. David really is great. I have such a wonderful husband!

Learning to Crawl

Things are finally beginning to cool of here in Cyprus. The mornings have suddenly grown cold and the tile floors get chilly. In the mornings I'll change Jonathan's diaper, take off his pajamas to change him and go wash up. When I leave, Jonathan generally follows me out the door to go off exploring; in doing so, his bare skin comes in contact with the icy floor. Not liking the cold against his small warm belly, he'll try to balance himself on his hands and knees. It's really fun to watch.

General Conference

For General Conference this year, we got to see it all at the church. That comes to five hours of church for the last two Sundays; that's a lot, and when you've got a small child who makes noise and needs to get down and play it's way too much. I look forward to being able to watch it at home again one day instead.

Faces

Jonathan has many faces. His smiles are the greatest. Today, however, I've seen a new one. For some reason, he keeps crinkling up his nose on the left side of his face. It's really cute, but I have no idea where he got that from.
